<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>We prove the existence of weak solutions of variational inequalities for general quasilinear parabolic operators of order <italic>m</italic> = 2 with strongly nonlinear perturbation term. The result is based on a priori bound for the time derivatives of the solutions.</p></abstract>
