Instructions for Authors
For publication in Valahian Journal of Economic Studies all entries must present original researches which have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Article must be accompanied by a declaration to be completed and signed by hand by the authors, then scanned.
Regarding the originality of the work we will bring to your attention the following considerations:
- Our journal is consistent to principles on intellectual property rights, discouraging any attempt at plagiarism, regardless of its forms – involuntary, self-plagiarism, voluntary assimilation of other people’s ideas etc. The author must take appropriate measures to avoid any of these situations regardless of their nature and gravity.
- Please note that for verification articles submitted we apply specialized anti-plagiarism software.
The editor reserves the right to reject the article and to decline in future articles published by authors who have committed plagiarism.
Articles will be written in English. The editorial staff shall not accept for assessment items that cannot be easily read in English.
Description of the peer review process
All submissions go through an internal peer review process. Each submission is being verified with an Anti-Plagiarism Software, and after papers are accepted for further reviewing only the ones that do not exceed 20% in Similitude Coefficient number 1 and 10% in Similitude Coefficient number 2 of information taken from other sources.
The editors makes an initial decision to send the manuscript out for peer review or to reject without external review. Articles can be rejected at this stage for a variety of reasons such as: 20% and 10% of information taken from other sources, similarity with a recently published article, the topic is outside of the scope of the Journal, little new information is provided, important flaws in the scientific validity, or an unprofessional presentation. This process normally takes 5 days. If the editor believes the article may be of interest to our readers, it is then sent out for external review.
External Review – double-blind peer review process
After this preliminary evaluation, the editorial secretary depersonalizes the paper submissions and sends them to be reviewed by the scientific reviewers chosen by the Journal.
Open Access Statement
The journal is an Open Access journal that allows a free unlimited access to all its contents without any restrictions upon publication to all users.
