Instructions for Authors

The journal accepts manuscripts only if they have not been published before and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The manuscript should be submitted in DOC or DOCX format and formatted according to the template. Please see the template for detailed requirements on the manuscript structure and formatting.

Please submit your manuscript to the Editorial Manager of the Journal of Applied Computer Systems electronically using the Editorial System.

Article Processing Charges

The journal does not have article processing charges (APCs) nor article submission charges.

Publishing of accepted articles is fully sponsored by Riga Technical University (Latvia) with no costs for authors.

Open Access Statement

The journal is an Open Access journal that allows free unlimited access to all its content without any restrictions to all users upon publication.

Peer Review Process

The Journal of Applied Computer Systems uses a double-blind peer-review policy. The reviewers of an article will not get to know the identity of the author(s), and the author(s) will not get to know the identity of the reviewer. Each article is reviewed by at least two reviewers who are competent in the relevant field. Based on the reviews, the Editors-in-Chief decide whether to accept or reject the article or request that the author(s) adjust it to comply with the reviewers’ suggestions. In the case of conflicting reviews, an external expert is asked to review the article.
