Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) is an autosomal dominant vascular dysplasia characterized by telangiectases and arteriovenous malformations. These lesions cause bleeding, particularly in the nose, gastrointestinal tract and brain. HHT has incomplete penetrance, variable expressivity and genetic heterogeneity.
