<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>This paper presents the results and the process of numerical analysis of a selected section of the concrete dam in Rożnów. The calculations were carried out for two different variants: the gravity section and the buttress section. The effects of the geometry on the temperature distribution inside the section, and the effect of the temperature on displacements, were examined.</p></abstract>
