<abstract xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>This paper analyzes commercial fish stocking and catches in lakes in the 2001-2007 period. The eleven fish species that are stocked most intensely were analyzed. Rank scaling was used to compare the parameter values of the analyzed fish species. This permitted ranking all of the species from the most to the least important to lake fisheries management. Pike, <italic>Esox lucius</italic> L.; eel, <italic>Anguilla anguilla</italic> (L.); vendace, <italic>Coregonus albula</italic> (L.); and carp, <italic>Cyprinus carpio</italic> L were the highest ranked species. These were followed by tench, <italic>Tinca tinca</italic> (L.), and pikeperch, <italic>Sander lucioperca</italic> (L.), as well as whitefish, <italic>Coregonus lavaretus</italic> (L.), and common Crucian carp, <italic>Carassius carassius</italic> (L.), and Prussian carp, <italic>Carassius gibelio</italic> (Bloch). The following were of marginal significance: bighead carp, <italic>Aristichthys nobilis</italic> Rich.; silver carp, <italic>Hypophthalmichthys molitrix</italic> (Val.), wels catfish, <italic>Silurus glanis</italic> (L.), and grass carp, <italic>Ctenopharyngodon idella</italic> Val.</p></abstract>
