<abstract xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>5-Methyl-6-phenyl-2-thioxothieno[2,3-<italic>d</italic>]pyrimidone derivative (<bold>2</bold>) reacted with hydrazonoyl chloride derivatives to afford triazolothienopyrimidones <bold>4a-f.</bold> Also, acetone-1-(2-amino-5-isopropyl-thiophene-3-carbonitrile) (<bold>3</bold>) reacted with functional and bifunctional groups to yield the corresponding compounds <bold>5-11</bold>. The new products showed anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and ulcerogenic activities comparable to that of indomethacin and acetylsalicylic acid, respectively.</p></abstract>
