<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>We investigate valency properties of partials – words and constructions that express the Part/Whole relation, primarily in Russian, offering new observations largely based on the Russian National Corpus. Special attention is given to such lexical units as <italic>bol’šinstvo</italic> ‘majority’, <italic>men’šinstvo</italic> ‘minority’, <italic>čast’</italic> ‘part’, <italic>protsent</italic> ‘percentages’, <italic>v bol’šinstve svoem ‘</italic>in its &lt;their, etc.><italic>majority’, ‘po bol’šej časti</italic> ‘for the most part’, etc.</p></abstract>
