<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

<p>Information on the recent herpetological and related parasitological collections are very rarely available for Afghanistan. We examined two species of the family Agamidae, <italic>Laudakia nuristanica</italic> and <italic>Paralaudakia caucasia</italic> for the presence of the intestinal helminth fauna. Overall, we examined 13 specimens of these lizards and found three species of helminths (<italic>Abbreviata achari</italic>, <italic>Thelandros masaae</italic>, <italic>T</italic>. <italic>taylori</italic>) in a single specimen of <italic>L</italic>. <italic>nuristanica</italic> and four species (<italic>A</italic>. <italic>achari</italic>, <italic>T</italic>. <italic>baylisi</italic>, <italic>T</italic>. <italic>taylori</italic>, <italic>P</italic>. <italic>kasauli</italic>) in three specimens of <italic>P</italic>. <italic>caucasia</italic>. Here in, we present the first report on the helminth fauna from <italic>L</italic>. <italic>nuristanica</italic>, record a new helminth host for <italic>P</italic>. <italic>caucasia</italic> and three new country records for the helminth fauna of Afghanistan.</p></abstract>
