<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>The academization of health professions is a complex process, whose progress is denoted by the parallelism of different processes. These include for example the setup of scientific disciplines as well as the development of higher education concepts. Meanwhile, entering interprofessional teaching and work processes is demanded. This requirement is a chance and often a concern of specialist development. In this article, interprofessionalism is defined as a social construct and distinct object of research that is a crucial requirement for the academisation of health professions. The engagement with other professions and disciplines as outlined with exemplary processes is relevant for the development of specialist profiles and should be supported.</p></abstract>

<trans-abstract xml:lang="de" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Die Akademisierung der Gesundheitsberufe ist ein komplexer Prozess, dessen Verlauf durch die Parallelität von verschiedenen Prozessen gekennzeichnet ist. Hierzu gehören u.a. der Aufbau der wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen sowie die Entwicklung hochschuldidaktischer Konzepte. Zeitgleich wird der Anspruch gestellt, in interprofessionelle Lehr- und Arbeitsprozesse einzutreten. Diese Anforderung geht häufig mit Bedenken bzgl. der Möglichkeiten einher, sich der eigenen fachspezifischen Entwicklung zu widmen. In dem Beitrag wird Interprofessionalität als ein soziales Konstrukt und als eigenständiger Forschungsgegenstand definiert, der für die Akademisierung der Gesundheitsberufe eine wichtige Voraussetzung ist. Die Auseinandersetzung mit den anderen Berufen und Disziplinen – so wird es an einigen exemplarischen Prozessen erläutert – ist relevant für die Entwicklung der fachspezifischen Profile und sollte gestärkt werden.</p></trans-abstract>
