<abstract xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>In this paper taking a question in <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="j_awutm-2016-0004_ref_001_w2aab2b8c19b1b7b1ab1ab1Aa">[1]</xref> into background we investigate the uniqueness of a non-constant polynomial with the differential monomial generated by a non-constant mermorphic function <italic>f</italic>. Our result will also extend a result of <italic>Banerjee-Majumder</italic><xref ref-type="bibr" rid="j_awutm-2016-0004_ref_002_w2aab2b8c19b1b7b1ab1ab2Aa">[2]</xref> given earlier. An open question is also posed, in the paper, for future investigation.</p></abstract>

In this paper taking a question in [1] into background we investigate the uniqueness of a non-constant polynomial with the differential monomial generated by a non-constant mermorphic function f.
