New Taxa and Synonymy in the Family Pyrgotidae (Diptera, Tephritoidea). I. Tribes Prodalmanniini and Toxopyrgotini

Open access

Abstract

In addition to Toxurini and Pyrgotini, two monotypic tribes are described in the subfamily Pyrgotinae: Prodalmanniini, originally named and established by Aczél (1956) without detailed description or justification, and Toxopyrgotini trib. n. The type species of the type genera are redescribed and illustrated.
