POLISH MARITIME RESEARCH is a scientific journal with a worldwide circulation. This journal is published quarterly (four times a year) by Gdansk University of Technology (GUT). On September 1994, the first issue of POLISH MARITIME RESEARCH was published.
The main objective of this journal is to present original research, innovative scientific ideas, and significant findings and applications in the field of: Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering and Underwater Technology. The scope of the journal covers selected issues related to all phases of product lifecycle and corresponding technologies for offshore floating and fixed structures and their components.

offshore floating and fixed structures and their components such as:
all types of vessels and their equipment
fixed and floating offshore units and their components
autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and remotely operated vehicle (ROV)
phases of their lifecycle and corresponding technologies such as: concept development; design; production and manufacturing; use and maintenance; decommissioning and recycling.
The offshore floating and fixed structures include:
offshore floating and fixed drilling and production platforms
offshore floating and fixed wind farms
offshore wave energy extraction technologies
underwater components (risers, cables and moorings)
infrastructure elements (pipelines and pipeline terminals).
We welcome submissions from these fields in the following technical topics (but not limited to:):
ship hydrodynamics: buoyancy and stability, ship resistance and propulsion, etc.
structural integrity of ship and offshore unit structures: materials, welding, fatigue and fracture, etc.
marine equipment: ship and offshore unit power plants, overboarding equipment, etc.

The Editor invites contributions on policies relating to the use of the maritime. These may be full-length articles or shorter notes. Rejoinders critically examining articles published in the journal are encouraged.
Articles are normally between 4000 and 6000 words long, but longer articles will be accepted if the topic demands this length of treatment. Manuscripts will be returned to the author if they are not submitted in accordance with Marine Policy style. Authors are also invited to submit material which might not be appropriate for full length articles but which allows the expression of opinion or contains ideas worthy of publication (1500 - 2500 words).

The publication fee is 500 EUR, billed after the publication of the article. Article submission and reviews are free of charge.
