Pannoniana is a journal launched by the Faculty of Education, J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek (Croatia), in 2016 with the initial purpose to supplement the need for the publication in the area of humanities for the specific geographic and historical area. During the initial period, Pannoniana grew into an international publication for humanities research with a clear aim at the former Pannonia space in the narrow sense but also encourages dialogue between experts in humanities from SE Europe in a broader aspect.
Pannoniana is published annually and contains papers that contribute primarily to findings in humanities but considers also interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary papers. Only unpublished papers can be submitted. The journal is published both in electronic form, as well as the printed edition.
Journal Pannoniana publishes peer-reviewed papers, research reports, scholar debates, and reviews that primarily contribute to findings in humanities, as well as interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary papers. Each paper is subjected to a double-blind peer-review.
The journal is committed to exploring different scholarly opinions, researchers and theories that are aimed at or somehow are linked with the former Pannonia space. Some of the important aspects are also to encourage dialogue, debate, and cooperation between experts in the field.

Similarity Check Plagiarism Screening System
The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
The journal publishes reviewed papers, research reports, scholarly debates, and reviews. Every article and contribution, except book reviews, will undergo a double-blind peer-review. Within the peer review process, papers published in the journal are categorized in one of the following categories: original scientific article, preliminary communication, review article and professional article. Submitted papers must be in English, and abstracts and keywords must be both in English and Croatian.
Every submission undergoes a double-blind peer-review process, in which identities of the author(s) and reviewer(s) are not disclosed. Reviewers should decline a review request if they lack sufficient expertise, or if they are unable to complete the review within six weeks. Reviewers must inform the editor of any possible conflict of interest or irregularities connected to the paper under review. Any paper received for review must be treated as a confidential document.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision about whether a paper will be accepted and published.
