An important task of management is to ensure control of the operations, processes, sectors of activity and not finally, on costs. Knowledge of cost is a decisive factor in taking decisions and planning future activities. Managers are concerned about the costs that will appear in the future, their level underpinning the supply and production decisions and pricing policies. An important factor is the cost efficiency of the information system so that the information provided by it is useful for decision support and planning the activities.
