Open access

The International Conference on Applied Statistics focuses on bringing together representatives of academia, of the business environment and of the policy making sector. The International Conference on Applied Statistics also tries to connect the Romanian research environment in the fields of data science, applied statistics, macroeconomics, business analytics and demography with the international environment, by ensuring a better understanding of new challenges, opportunities and threats generated by globalization and competition.

In the current environment, where data and the insights that can be extracted from data can provide the ingredients for the next breakthrough at both sectoral and even global level, The International Conference on Applied Statistics positions itself as the central venue in the Romanian environment for the representatives of academia, of the business environment and of the policy making sector interested in quantitative modelling and quantitative approaches, data science, business analytics, quantitative approaches of policy design cycle, of quantitative macroeconomic and microeconomic topics. By focusing on quantitative and data driven or data based approaches, The International Conference on Applied Statistics will provide both an important platform for debates amongst top level academics and researchers and will also bring opportunities for the exchange of ideas between academics and researchers on one hand and representatives of the business environment and of the public sector, on the other hand, nurturing innovation and supporting the emergence of solutions for the problems of human society. More exactly, The International Conference on Applied Statistics tries to position itself as the most important discussion platform in the South-East of Europe for academics and researchers using statistics in particular, and applying quantitative methods in general, in the entire spectrum of social and natural sciences and computer and technology sciences. The International Conference on Applied Statistics will also try to provide an opportunity for researchers focusing on the development and use of quantitative methods across the world to include South-East Europe on their agenda and leverage in this way on the historical heritage of the Romanian civilization.
