DOCUMENTA HAEMATOLOGICA is a medical journal published by the Romanian Society of Hematology and Romanian Society of Blood Transfusion. It was founded by Dr. Constantin T Nicolae and Dr. George Grigoriu, the researchers who established modern hematology in Romania, in 1965. It is important to note that the journal was included among the 19 existing hematology journals worldwide in that time. Unfortunately publishing this journal was discontinued in 1973 for lack of funding.
Since 1997 the journal "Documenta Haematologica - reappears four issues per year, with an editorial board driven by Prof. Dr. Dan Colita and Dr. Radu Niculescu.

Scope and Objectives

Documenta Haematologica is a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to the latest advancement in the field of hematology.

The aim of this of this journal is to provide a national and international platform for scientists and practitioners to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in different fields of Hematology.

The journal providing a publication vehicle for complete coverage of all aspects of hematology but not limited to, hematopoiesis and normal hematologic system, disorders of red cells, disorders of hemostasis and coagulation, non- malignant disorders of leukocytes, immunology, hematologic malignancies, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, transfusion medicine.
