The original version of the Acta Palaeobotanica is the electronic edition.
Acta Palaeobotanica is an international journal publishing original research articles in English on palaeobotany, palaeoecology, palynology and archaeobotany. All manuscripts are peer reviewed by at least two referees.
The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
Acta Palaeobotanica, financed in 2018 under contract no. 682/P-DUN/2018 from funds of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland, designated for activities aimed at dissemination of scientific results. Project: Line-editing of research papers intended for publication in Acta Palaeobotanica (Volume 58), by a native speaker of English; and publication of two issues of the annual Acta Palaeobotanica (58: 1, 2) in electronic editions.

The quality of the PDF file must be appropriate for the review process. The electronic file of the cover letter should be attached together with the submission. The cover letter should contain the following: (1) a statement that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere and (2) that all authors agree with the content of the manuscript, and (3) a list of 2 or 3 suggested referees, along with their e-mail addresses and affiliations.
