1 Introduction The history of Polish economy differs strongly from that of Japanese economy. Migration of Graduates Within a Sequential Decision Framework: Evidence from Poland

1 Introduction The goal of this paper is to better understand the drivers of interregional migration of well-educated individuals. Human capital is commonly considered as an important factor of economic growth. Economic theory assumes that human capital affects growth by influencing labour productivity ( Lucas 1988 ) and by determining the ability of the economy to innovate ( Nelson and Phelps 1966 ).
