Defence Forces, individuals are social beings who seek to establish ties of identity and friendship with others. These ties are used for social support and work accomplishment ( Mehra et al., 1998 ). According to Lo and Levesque (2005), previous psychological contract research has examined individual differences and formal organisational influence, but it fails to ‘consider the influence of informal social relationships in shaping employees’ fulfilment evaluation, despite the prevalence of such relationships in most organizations’ (2005, p. 275). We argue in this paper
