1 Introduction This paper provides a reflection of what we know about the purposes, use and impact of public sector creative accounting (PSCA). The objective is to analyse the likely influence of future harmonization of public sector accounting on PSCA. In what ways might we expect harmonization to restrict the future incidence of PSCA?
