Introduction Conventional clinical parameters alone are inadequate for differentiating indolent and aggressive prostate cancer. Therefore, molecular biomarkers are needed to better define prognosis of prostate cancer patients. Neuroendocrine markers could be used to detect particularly aggressive variants of prostate cancer.
