It has become very common to use a set of differently heading Lp cultivars for grassland seed mixtures to provide a larger harvest window and to reduce the risk of unfavorable weather conditions, which in mountainous regions very often occur during the harvest time of the first growth.

The mining organ of the longwall heading machine KGS-320 with radial tools was the subject of the analysis. Cooperation of single knife with the mined solid rock was estimated in order to determine values of the forces and moments that might occur in the mining process and to estimate the energy consumption of the mining process. Analogous determination of forces and moments values as well as energy consumption of the mining process for the whole mining organ with regard to all the knives installed. Following the thorough analysis of the solid rock mining process with the longwall tumble heading machine mining head the PC computer program simulating such organ’s mode of action has been developed. This program presents the simulation of the mining process in the part regarding direct contact of the cutting tool (knife) with the rock mass. The result of this simulation is force and moments distribution, which are transmitted via the mining organ (head) during one full turn (360o) and, as consequence, via whole longwall heading machine.

Adits played an important role in the hydrotechnical infrastructure for centuries. Initially, they were used mainly to drain wetland and supply water to the population. There were also inherent in the conduct of mining activities. They were used as exploratory, development and supply headings. Their usual function was to drain, ventilate and transport, and after the cessation of mining they became important elements of the hydrotechnical infrastructure in the transformed mining areas. The article presents issues related to the revitalization of the Main Key Hereditary Adit and Friedrich Adit as essential for the areas in which they are located. Both are hydraulic structures with the possibility of adaptation for tourism purposes. The need to consider some technical activities to be undertaken in this type of objects was pointed out, not only including aspects related to their proper protection so that they can continue to safely perform their function, but also to the preservation of their historical values. Due to their age and the method of drilling used in them, those headings are often included in the list of monuments and protected by law.

The paper describes the Advanced Multi-Engine Platform (AMP™) – Topcon’s patent pending technique, which is capable to improve RTK performance, based on the idea of running several RTK engines in parallel. The performance of AMP™ is dependent on Topcon receiver board, where it has been implemented, and the best results are achieved with B210 board. The main specifics of B210 is that it has two RF front-ends and a single digital section. Such an architecture allows for calculating heading and tilt within a single receiver board, and providing better RTK performance due to synergy of attitude determination and RTK solutions from two antennas, calculated within a single digital section. The paper describes specifics of B210 board along with mathematical aspects of AMP™ and its logic. The test results demonstrate noticeable improvements in RTK performance for B210 receiver board with AMP™, compared with the classical single-engine RTK approach.

The issue of navigation methods is being continuously developed globally. The aim of this article is to test the fuzzy control algorithm for track finding in mobile robotics. The concept of an autonomous mobile robot EN20 has been designed to test its behaviour. The odometry navigation method was used. The benefits of fuzzy control are in the evidence of mobile robot’s behaviour. These benefits are obtained when more physical variables on the base of more input variables are controlled at the same time. In our case, there are two input variables - heading angle and distance, and two output variables - the angular velocity of the left and right wheel. The autonomous mobile robot is moving with human logic.
