experiences, tests should be modified culturally to prevent any biases [ 11 ]. In routine clinical practice, the most used smell test should not require complex equipment or devices. There are 3 types of tests commonly used to determine olfactory function, including the smell threshold test, smell discrimination test (SDT), and smell identification test (SIT). Because normal smell detection threshold in Thai population has been reported [ 12 ], the objective of this study was to provide normal values for SDT and SIT in Thai adults.
