A finding of the subterranean population of the Caucasian invasive snail on the depth of 30 m below Odesa in Southern Ukraine is discussed.

The article describes occurrence and distribution of Cryptocotyle trematodes in fish in the waters of the Dnipro-Buh estuary and the Black Sea in Mykolaiv and Odesa Region. Study was conducted in 2015-2016. Two trematode species were found in natural waters of these regions: Cryptocotyle cancavum Crepli, 1825 and Cryptocotyle jejuna Nicoll, 1907. Th e latter species has not been previously registered in this region in southern Ukraine. Varying intensity of infection with Cryptocotyle metacercariae was observed in fish of Gobiidae family: Mesogobius batrachocephalus Pallas, 1814, Neogobius melanostomum Pallas, 1814, N. fluviatialis Pallas, 1814. Th e most affected species was N. melanostomum, with the prevalence of infection 59.2 %. Less infected were N. fluviatialis and M. batrachocephalus, with the prevalence of infection 30.4 % and 17 % respectively. The intensity of infection was the highest in N. melanostomum - 211 metacercariae per fish, followed by N. fluviatialis and M. batrachocephalu - 124 and 89 metacercariae respectively. Cryptocotyle was the most prevalent in the Dnipro-Buh estuary (cape Adzhigol, Mykolaiv Region) and much less prevalent in the waters of the Black Sea in Mykolaiv and Odesa Regions. Mean prevalence of infection was 31.4 %.

New Extinct Carp Fish Species (Teleostei, Cyprinidae) from the Late Neogene of Southeastern Europe. Kovalchuk, О. М. - A new extinct carp fish taxa from the Upper Neogene strata of Southeastern Europe are described in the paper. Rutilus robustus Kovalchuk, sp. n. from the Early Pliocene of Priozernoe (Republic of Moldova) differs from other species of the Rutilus genus by the massive high ceratobranchiale, long anterior non-dentiferous process, and also thick bulkheads between the septum on cavernous surface. Scardinius ponticus Kovalchuk, sp. n. from the Late Miocene of Odesa Pontian Lectostratotype (Ukraine) is characterized by the enormous pharyngeal teeth, and the enlarged number of cogs at their external grinding edge.

The Spanish slug, a species that is considered to be the most destructive pest among molluscs of Europe, is reported to spread widely across Ukraine during last 5–7 years. In addition to its 5 known colonies in Western Ukraine, over 60 new localities from Western, Central, Northern, Southern and Eastern Ukraine are reported for the first time using own materials and reports with photo from the general public. Newly reported localities include such major cities as Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Khmelnitsky, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Lutsk, Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk, and also the settlements in Odesa and Mykolaiv Regions. Species is also reported for the first time from Grodno City in Belarus and from Moscow City in Russia. Much wider future expansion of the Spanish slug in Eastern Europe is expected in near time.

The article has analyzed and systematized the development of musical-pedagogical education in Ukraine in the 60's -70-ies of XX century. It has summarized the experience of training of specialists with higher musical-pedagogical education at the faculties of Humanities, where the 50's - 60's graduates received diplomas of philologists, historians, geographers with additional qualification of a teacher of music and singing. It has also been grounded the establishment of the first musical-pedagogical faculties at educational institutions in different regions of Ukraine (Kyiv, Luhansk, Drohobych, Odesa, Zaporozhia). Having based on the analysis of the archival documents it has been revealed the main directions of the formation of teaching staff of specialized departments, organization of the educational process, creation of the art groups, participation of students in research work, teaching practice at secondary schools. It has been proved the importance of concert performance and musical educational work in the pedagogical formation of prospective teachers of music and singing. Their role in raising the level of musical and aesthetic education of children and youth in the 60's of last century has been proved. The 70‟s years of the twentieth century of the history of Ukraine are known as the years of corresponding changes in the socio-political processes, "thaw" in all spheres of life, particularly in the organization of higher education activity. This period of musical-pedagogical education is characterized by democratization and the search for more advanced forms of the educational-upbringing process.

Distribution of the Ixodid Tick Hyalomma Marginatum (Ixodoidea, Ixodidae) in Ukraine

The Northern boundary of the current distribution range of Hyalomma marginatum Koch in Ukraine that passes along the North of Odesa, Mykolayiv, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts has been specified. The natural habitat is mapped according to different possibilities for mass reproduction. Regular findings of H. marginatum inhabited unusual places may contribute to the spreading of diseases dangerous to humans and animals to new areas, where the latter may be treated as a biological threat of large epidemics and epizootics. Natural habitat of the Ixodidae species has been mapped in consideration of feeding types and the ability of it hosts to travel. Only the areas where all stages are regularly found were included what corroborates Ixodidae species establishing in new areas.

Distribution of the Tick Haemaphysalis Punctata (Acari, Ixodidae) in Ukraine

The northern boundary of H. punctata range was studied. This boundary of its native range (where this species is common and its mass reproductions are periodically recorded) was found to go through Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts. Clarified that the boundary of its temporary range (where this species occurs periodically and is dependent on human factors totally) was clarified to go through Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The range of H. punctata is fully subjected to anthropogenic factors in areas where this species dwelt in historically recent times only, and in ancestral areas of distribution such factors affects only dynamics and indices of abundance.
