Introduction An empirical study currently being conducted within the framework of the research project “Cultural Narratives of Age and Aging” explores life-course experiences of women aged 60 to 70, in the context of information and communication technologies (ICTs). The study focuses on the question of how women of this generation have been using and ascribing meaning to “old” and “new” ICTs such as radio, television, computers, the Internet and mobile phones throughout their lives or – more precisely – how they have been acting together with ICTs, to refer to
