Intelligence is the traditional element of interest when measuring the human cognitive abilities. However, intelligence is complex and researchers are constantly finding new angles of looking at it. One such angle is reflective reasoning. Sometimes individuals choose to override the intuitive answer and by engaging in further reflection they reach the correct answer. The cognitive reflection test (CRT) measures a person’s ability to suppress their incorrect intuitive answer in favor of reflection that should then lead to the correct response. The test contains three short mathematically based problems, which measure, among others, cognitive ability, mathematical abilities and cognitive reflection. Using a sample of 195 students from a state university, one of the largest universities in Romania, we explore the extent to which a variety of phenomena and trends identified by previous findings on CRT show similar results on our sample.

This paper focuses on cybersecurity knowledge, claiming that this knowledge may have a value of its own, and suggests a market mechanism to foster the creation of this kind of value. The goal is to elaborate the value of cybersecurity knowledge and propose a semantic approach with an example model to enable better handling of the relevant body of knowledge and its value. The problem of attributing value to cybersecurity should be perceived as analogous to that in information technology. We have examined the relevant body of knowledge with a focus on its characteristics from the viewpoint of different types of market players and their interests. By applying our model, it is possible to increase the accessibility of knowledge and observe externalities from sharing thereof.

We live in an information society for which the Internet, as a global system of connections between computers and, consequently, databases stored in them, plays a highly important part. Hence, more and more real property data are available. This article is devoted to the analysis of the opportunities to purchase the Register of Real Estate Prices and Values (RREPV) online from county geoportals. RREPV is one of the sources of information used in the process of real estate value estimation. Pursuant to § 74 of the Regulation on the Land and Property Register, the register is kept by the head of the county. There are 380 counties in Poland, including 66 city counties. Such a big number of administrative units in Poland, along with a great variety of different information and communication systems used for keeping RREPV, results in the fact that online access to the register data is not possible everywhere. The aim of the paper is to present the spatial layout of counties which: created the opportunity to access the National Geodetic and Cartographic Resource data via county geoportals, launched special modules for handling real estate appraisers and made it possible to purchase RREPV data online.
