This study advances research on entrepreneurial orientation and business performance by assessing, prioritizing, ranking, and evaluating decision choices among entrepreneurial orientation attributes that influence small and medium scale enterprise performance in Nigeria. Data were gathered through the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) tool called analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based questionnaire administered to practicing entrepreneurs in Lagos State, Nigeria. The population of the study consists of all the firms (mainly small and medium scale businesses) registered by Lagos Chamber of Commerce, totalling 1766 at the time of this study. The sample size was calculated through Yamane formula, while entrepreneurs managing the sampled firms were the respondents carefully selected for the study through a random sampling procedure. Data collected were analysed through descriptive statistics and analytic hierarchy process procedures for eliciting the consistency ratio, consistency index, Lambda Max, local and global priority values for an effective policy decision. The priorities were established in line with the AHP framework using pairwise comparisons and judgment of entrepreneurs. The results revealed the preference of entrepreneurial orientation dimension that influenced business performance most based on pairwise experiences and trade-off of different attributes. This study explores the application of AHP methodology for measuring complex entrepreneurial decision-making process for enhancing business performance. Thus, the AHP revealed a potential research method in computing weights and chasing MCDM process.

The main purpose of the article is to motivate experts and researchers in the field of business informatics and logistics to interdisciplinary integration in order to develop a new concept of an information system that will help to strengthen a company's competitive ability. The article analyzes the research carried out between top managers, strategic managers and managers of logistics in the largest Slovenian companies. Two hundred companies were included in the primary survey; 60 managers were selected in a representative sample and at the end 30 leaders in statistical analysis. We sent questionnaires to our managers via e-mail. The data were processed with the statistical program IBM SPSS Statistics 19, as a method we used linear regression and multiple correlation. With the primary survey, we measured satisfaction of the managers with existing information support for logistics and found that logistical, strategic information professionals need to be even more connected, so that management decisions can then be developed and sustained. On the basis of the obtained data, it can be concluded that sufficient investment of funds in the creation of an appropriate information system fosters the development of business logistics. The originality and value of the article are reflected in the interdisciplinary view of the concept of information support of logistics in the development of new products, in the original connections of various business functions, in the possibility of designing new information solutions and in the sustainable development of new services for the market.
The contribution juxtaposes the traditional neutralistic view on the role of accounting in a society as an activity of independent and unbiased measurement and presentation of real economic phenomena with the extended view on accounting as a socio-political practice and ideology. It also shows how the latter view impacts the understanding of the role of accounting and its reactions in light of the recent global financial crisis.
