Decision making in material selection plays important role in selecting appropriate material based on design and manufacturing attributes. Proposing a new material is always a challenging task so the researchers used Decision making assistance tools. In the Present paper the application of Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods are applied to the piston material selection for optimal design process. Comparative study of subjective and objective criteria weights on selected MADM methods are done. Sensitivity analysis is conducted to prove the consistency in performance score ranking order as the criteria weights for each alternative varies.

The objective of technical condition assessment of the system of gas distribution pipelines is to obtain reliable information concerning the technical condition of the particular sites of the distribution system for successful planning of their maintenance and repair works, as well as for taking decisions on the extension of the operation time, reconstruction or elimination. The developed methodology provides for the development of the indices describing the sites of the system of gas distribution pipelines - the base factor (Fij), the share of the score set for each factor (Вij) in the group of the factor shares (βi), the shares of the group (ai), based upon which, by means of applying the linear algorithm, the group calculation score (Bi) and the integral score (F) are set and according to these scores the technical condition of the particular site is assessed and the conditions for its further operation are defined.

The obtained responses from both actors in a dyad were then captured as averaged scores indicating the relational performance of upstream (supplier–manufacturer) and downstream (manufacturer–customer) dyads. To demonstrate the supply chain performance, we applied six opinion-based measures dealing with customer-focused performance. It allowed to capture the role of the market as the ultimate mechanism for determining supply

These results can be explained by the fact that submitting represents the lowest level of consumer empowerment, compared to other types of co-creation (as the company dictates the format that contributions must follow and also has full power to select which consumer contributions to adopt), while more consumers are seeking to receive a more active role in the creation of the products they consume. Innovative activity of enterprises in Poland is mostly generated by European funds that concern boosting European regions based on its significant resources and new technologies. Polish enterprises development within innovations is based mainly on accumulating new products and new technologies that improve organization and increase sale of products and services. Papers presents research findings that concern problems resulting from the innovations implementing in Polish enterprises comparing with European results. There is presented European Innovation Index providing a comparative assessment of the innovation performance at the country level of the EU Member States and the Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS) that presents results of innovative activity in Polish and European enterprises including regional data from the Community Innovation Survey (CIS).
