The waves of migrants that are trying to escape from the violence of their home state become a real threat for the security environment of the European countries. Our national security forces, like police and army personnel, should take into consideration future missions that consist in face to face interrelation actions with people from other cultures. Achieving knowledge and developing cross-cultural interrelation skills, with the help of which we can overcome some barriers in communication, can make the difference as long as the force power, in its entirety, no longer represents the sole and sufficient condition to solve actual multicultural crises situations.
Since 2011 a sustainable growth of illegal immigrants in the EU has been observed. As a result, Bulgaria has become one of the most affected member states of the EU. This article aims to research the main factors, resulted from the illegal immigration, which are changing the national security environment in Bulgaria. This paper is focused on the improvement of legal and political mechanisms for cooperation between the EU member states, coming from the Common asylum and immigration policy and building of the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice in the EU.

The unaccompanied or separated minor is, according to the European Union body of legislation regarding asylum and migration, one of the extremely vulnerable categories of persons, and the risk of vulnerability is amplified in the case of the unaccompanied or separated minor - asylum seeker. Ever since the EU pre-accession period Romanian legislation reconciled, according to the European model, the requirements of the rules on migration with humanism provisions in the field of child rights. The images in the media about the migratory flows in recent years have revealed a system that requires imperatively legislative changes, adapting procedures, innovative work tools, including the case of the unaccompanied minor asylum seeker. In this article I intend to analyze the existing legislative framework in Romania, highlighting the positive aspects of the law and those which I believe that should be reconsidered so that the interests of the minor in the asylum procedure to be properly protected.

Demographic changes that currently affect the planet are not fully new, they have continued throughout history, managing to influence geographical areas and making changes to individuals’ lifestyle. The phenomenon of international migration has become a topical issue in 2015 with the increasing number of asylum seekers on the territory of the European Union. This special event raised new questions about the socio-economic evolution of the European continent, with problems being signaled both from the perspective of newcomers and permanent residents of this space. The main task that the political authorities of the member states of the community block have over the next years is to identify a solution through which to achieve appropriate and long-term integration of newcomers, many of them belonging to different cultures of the majority population.
