There are many factors that affect performance in Olympic shooting. Elite shooters are capable of reaching extreme levels of precision and accuracy. In female air pistol shooting, the best shooters often reach scores as high as the current world record (393/400), or in other words success of 98.2% hitting the ten points score. Considering that the maximum score of a shot (10 points) represents accuracy within a circle of a diameter of 11.5 mm ± 0.1 mm from a shooting distance of 10 meters, failure or important loss in performance due to

a high intensity ( Bradley et al., 2009 ; Di Salvo et al. 2009). A large number of studies have reported on the specific energetic and physical performance demands of elite soccer players, including the effects of positional variation, using time motion analysis ( Bradley et al., 2009 ; Di Salvo et al., 2009 ; Rampinini et al., 2007). Sports performance analysis provides objective information based on a series of performance indicators ( O’Donoghue, 2010 ). Given the dynamic nature of the sport, a detailed analysis of these indicators is needed because of the influence external conditions, known as situational variables such as the quality of opposition, the game period, match status, etc. ( Gómez et al., 2013 ), or internal features such as the play role, the game phase, etc., may have on such indicators. However, data on performance predictions in trail running are still relatively scarce ( Balducci et al., 2017 ; Ehrström et al., 2017 ; Fornasiero et al., 2017 ; Scheer et al., 2018 a) and this may partly be due to the complexity of trail running with its prolonged uphill and downhill running sections, over uneven terrain, placing different physiological and biomechanical demands on the musculature and the human body compared to road running ( Degache et al., 2013 ; Giandolini et al., 2016 ;

Interpretation of sports rules is a tool widely used by coaches in order to improve performance of their teams and athletes ( Gracia et al., 2014 ; Hill-Haas et al., 2010 ).
