Improving Electrical Efficiency of Edm Power Supply

Abstract

This paper briefly presents the principal types of Pulse Generators for Electrical Discharge Machining and ways to improve electrical efficiency. A resonant converter with series-parallel LCC circuit, for EDM applications, was analyzed by PSpice simulation. The performances of EDM Power Supply were improved by adding an energy recovering - voltage limiter circuit. The shape of current pulse was changed by adding a supplementary MOSFET Switch in parallel with the gap. Two or more converters can be parallelized, in this way output current can be changed. Long-term Green Innovation Opportunities Within the Hungarian District Heating Sector Towards 2030

Abstract

Natural gas is still the primary input of the Hungarian heating and cooling systems, therefore it still makes most of the overheads. One of the main obstacles of a competitive district heating system is the public opinion which still considers this service more expensive than the traditional heating forms. According to the absolute numbers this assumption might be valid but from a more accurate economic perspective, heat production has more aspects to stress. Most people forget about the simple fact that the maintenance costs of natural gas based systems are rather outsourced to the consumer than in the case of district heating. Furthermore, the uneven rate of the fixed and variable costs of this technology does not prove to be optimal for service developments. Investigating the future tendencies highlight that encouraging the efficiency improvement of district heating and the spread of technological innovation in the sector does not belong to the top priorities. Still, avoiding this problem it could lead serious deadweight losses in the case of the heating sector.

The Impact Of Increased Stability And Efficiency Through Automatic Control System For A Steam Power Plant

Abstract

This paper shows necessity for a new dynamic evolution of a energy goup in the context of, in the energy system, the wind and photovoltaic energy have priority. The actual automatic control systems, already implemented, allow analysis of more than 5,000 measuring points in real time, but also very consistent evolutionary history. In this context it is proposed and analysis solution, based on closed loop modeling, which can lead to knowledge of this complex process. Knowing with a high degree of accuracy of this process can lead to redesigning the control algorithms in the direction of increasing the stability and efficiency.

Regression-Based Approach For Feature Selection In Classification Issues. Application To Breast Cancer Detection And Recurrence

Abstract

Feature selection is considered a key factor in classifications/decision problems. It is currently used in designing intelligent decision systems to choose the best features which allow the best performance. This paper proposes a regression-based approach to select the most important predictors to significantly increase the classification performance. Application to breast cancer detection and recurrence using publically available datasets proved the efficiency of this technique.

A Linguistic Model in Component Oriented Programming

Abstract

It is a fact that the component-oriented programming, well organized, can bring a large increase in efficiency in the development of large software systems. This paper proposes a model for building software systems by assembling components that can operate independently of each other. The model is based on a computing environment that runs parallel and distributed applications. This paper introduces concepts as: abstract aggregation scheme and aggregation application. Basically, an aggregation application is an application that is obtained by combining corresponding components. In our model an aggregation application is a word in a language.
