A novel data knowledge representation with the combination of structure learning ability of preprocessed collaborative fuzzy clustering and fuzzy expert knowledge of Takagi- Sugeno-Kang type model is presented in this paper. The proposed method divides a huge dataset into two or more subsets of dataset. The subsets of dataset interact with each other through a collaborative mechanism in order to find some similar properties within each-other. The proposed method is useful in dealing with big data issues since it divides a huge dataset into subsets of dataset and finds common features among the subsets. The salient feature of the proposed method is that it uses a small subset of dataset and some common features instead of using the entire dataset and all the features. Before interactions among subsets of the dataset, the proposed method applies a mapping technique for granules of data and centroid of clusters. The proposed method uses information of only half or less/more than the half of the data patterns for the training process, and it provides an accurate and robust model, whereas the other existing methods use the entire information of the data patterns. Simulation results show the proposed method performs better than existing methods on some benchmark problems.

STRADAR project is dedicated to streaming real-time data in a distributed dispatcher and teleinformation system of the Border Guard. The Events Visualization Post is a software designed for simultaneous visualization of data of different types in BG headquarters. The software allows the operator to visualize files, images, SMS, SDS, video, audio, and current or archival data on naval situation on digital maps. All the visualized data can be synchronized in time.

With the rapid development in data acquisition and presentation, there is a growing interest in virtual forests and computer visualization tools. Forest owners have become more aware about their property and are interested in applying different forest management methods and silvicultural techniques. The tools are also applicable in assessment of the changes to the landscape as a result of natural and anthropogenic disturbances. Virtual reality offers a good opportunity to test and compare different management options before implementing decisions which can lead to irreversible consequences. Advances in spatial and temporal data collection enable new and practical solutions for analysis and visualization of long-term natural processes with new forestry applications. In the near future, forest owners and managers will have the possibility to make management decisions without the direct need to exit the office. Furthermore, the learning process is more enthralling and also more profound through augmented reality, helping to foster better working practices even before starting a job in the forest sector.

Security of national borders requires utilization of multimedia surveillance systems automatically gathering, processing and sharing various data. The paper presents such a system developed for the Maritime Division of the Polish Border Guard within the STRADAR project. The system, apart from providing communication means, gathers data, such as map data from AIS, GPS and radar receivers, videos and photos from camera or audio from phone calls and SMS messages, from multiple mobile units and stationary points located along the coastline. All gathered data can be visualized on a multidisplay by the personnel that can dynamically select presented data and configure form of presentation. The paper describes system functionalities, its hardware and software implementation, and presents results of acceptance tests that the system have recently passed.
This article presents a visual method for representing the complex labor market internal structure from the perspective of similar occupations based on shared skills; and a prototype tool for interacting with the visualization, together with an extended description of graph construction and the necessary data processing for linking multiple heterogeneous data sources. Since the labor market is not an isolated phenomenon and is constantly impacted by external trends and interventions, the presented method is designed to enable adding extra layers of external information. For instance, what is the impact of a megatrend or an intervention on the labor market? Which parts of the labor market are the most vulnerable to an approaching megatrend or planned intervention? A case study analyzing the labor market together with the megatrend of job automation and computerization is presented. The source code of the prototype is released as open source for repeatability.

This work was performed as part of a larger research concerning the feasibility of improving the localization of epileptic foci, as compared to the standard SPECT examination, by applying the technique of EEG mapping. The presented study extends our previous work on the development of a method for superposition of SPECT images and EEG 3D maps when these two examinations are performed simultaneously. Due to the lack of anatomical data in SPECT images it is a much more difficult task than in the case of MRI/EEG study where electrodes are visible in morphological images. Using the appropriate dose of radioisotope we mark five base electrodes to make them visible in the SPECT image and then approximate the coordinates of the remaining electrodes using properties of the 10-20 electrode placement system and the proposed nine-ellipses model. This allows computing a sequence of 3D EEG maps spanning on all electrodes. It happens, however, that not all five base electrodes can be reliably identified in SPECT data. The aim of the current study was to develop a method for determining the coordinates of base electrode(s) missing in the SPECT image. The algorithm for coordinates approximation has been developed and was tested on data collected for three subjects with all visible electrodes. To increase the accuracy of the approximation we used head surface models. Freely available model from Oostenveld research based on data from SPM package and our own model based on data from our EEG/SPECT studies were used. For data collected in four cases with one electrode not visible we compared the invisible base electrode coordinates approximation for Oostenveld and our models. The results vary depending on the missing electrode placement, but application of the realistic head model significantly increases the accuracy of the approximation.
Market organizations apply multi-channel communication with clients, analyse and use signals from their clients to support development of products and services. Leading companies manage relations with employees in a similar way. This is particularly beneficial in organizations employing knowledge-workers. Employees, carrying out their tasks, as a result of interaction with clients and internal limitations, along with formal organizational structure spontaneously create a "fast reaction" network. Thanks to the analysis of the network of internal relations and visualization of data in online platforms organizations can investigate the methods of work and cooperation of teams and employees' behaviours. Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) is a new field, which provides strategic knowledge - about cooperation in an organization, the role of its units and particular employees, allocation of resources, relational potential and barriers for development. Online visualization of the network of relations accesssible for employees allows them to learn about the organization and better carry out their tasks, providing them with information about people with similar knowledge, or knowledge necessary for the employees, about cooperation of people and teams, flow of information and decisions. The analysis of organizational networks serves the purpose of diagnosing an organization and conducting continuous HR processes, e.g. codification of knowledge, identification of talents, organization of trainings and development, it delivers data for the decision-making process and communication and knowledge management. Using the example of the Polish participatory platform "Mapa organizacji" (Organization map) the author shows how to collect and use analytical data for the purpose of managing talents of an organization in an optimum way. Thanks to the visualization of this data, in a network you can highlight employees with various profiles e.g. sources of field knowledge, organizational and project talents, brokers of information, opinion leaders, or e.g. various styles of functioning of managers. Observing and measuring cooperation within teams and between them it is possible to plan and monitor the effects of activities facilitating communication and to efficiently manage knowledge and change e.g. by locating and breaking down silos. The application allows business owners and HR teams to manage talent the processes of "soft HR" with the use of analytical data, among others: induction of new employees, internal mobility and succession, identifying employees who could potentially drop out, internal trainers and mentors, developing cooperation where it's missing and reducing its excess, building communities of practice and project teams.
