Dans un Système de Recherche d’Information (SRI), les démarches pour la reformulation de la requête sont nombreuses. Elles peuvent être classées selon les ressources utilisées en trois grandes approches : l’utilisation des ressources externes, l’analyse globale et l’analyse locale. Dans ce contexte et dans le cadre des SRI pour les textes Arabes, nous nous intéressons à l’évaluation des performances de la première approche. A cet effet deux ressources différentes ont été utilisées à savoir : WordNet Arabe et le Dictionnaire (thésaurus) des Sens Arabe. Les expérimentations réalisées sur un corpus de texte Arabe nous ont permis de mesurer l’apport de cette approche de reformulation de requête dans un SRI arabe.

Slag is a non metallic co-product, produced in the iron (BF) and steelmaking (BOF and EAF) process. Slag has been commonly utilized on a broad scale ever since these processes were first taken into use. Besides economical benefits, environmental requirements will enhance the need for further product development work concerning the properties of slag in the future, in order to observe the principle of sustainable development. Today, one of the important indicators of sustainable steel industry is quantity of slag (production) and its utilization. This paper discuss the utilization of slag in different fields such as cement, heat and sound isolation, filtration, agriculture, tile and glass production and explain some of important researches in last 35 years which done in Esfahan Steel Co. (ESCo) of Iran.

This paper shortly presents the issue of utilization of ships after their withdrawal from service. Information on number of floating units liquidated in previous years was presented. Hazards to the environment, health and life of workers employed in the Far East ship scrapping yards operating on the beaches, were indicated. Then, the most important rules which have to make the ship recycling process safe were referred to. This author proposed to supplement the rules by environmental hazard indices which would be determined already in ship design stage. According to the concept the indices should take into account amount of dangerous substances used for building the ship as well as degree of their harmfulness (weighing factors). Two approaches to the issue of determining the weighing factors were proposed: deterministic and fuzzy.

One of the new methods of food drying using infrared heating under vacuum is to increase the drying rate and maintain the quality of dried product. In this study, potato slices were dried using vacuum-infrared drying. Experiments were performed with the infrared lamp power levels 100, 150 and 200 W, absolute pressure levels 20, 80, 140 and 760 mmHg, and with three thicknesses of slices 1, 2 and 3 mm, in three repetitions. The results showed that the infrared lamp power, absolute pressure and slice thickness have important effects on the drying of potato. With increasing the radiation power, reducing the absolute pressure (acts of vacuum) in the dryer chamber and also reducing the thickness of potato slices, drying time and the amount of energy consumed is reduced. In relation to thermal utilization efficiency, results indicated that with increasing the infrared radiation power and decreasing the absolute pressure, thermal efficiency increased.
