The article presents research results on a thermal insulation material made of low-moor peat. A model based on three components, including peat binder, frame component (wooden aggregate) and additives, was developed in the framework of this study. The conducted research showed that by grinding low-moor peat in water until the particle size is 2–5 mkm increased peat cohesion strength with wooden aggregate 2.5 to 2.7 times as well as increased the compressive strength of peat binder 5.0 to 5.5 times. Optimal parameters of strength and density in the wood peat composition with discontinuous granulometry wooden aggregate were achieved by using two fraction wood filler with fractions 2.5 mm ... 1.25 mm and 0.63 mm ... 0.315 mm in the proportion 50:50 and 60:40. Introducing anionic surfactants and foam forming non-ionic surfactants with neutral reaction against the surface of the peat and wood filler allows to reduce the average density up to 210–220 kg/m3, thus maintaining the required strength, and to reduce the coefficient of thermal conduction to 0.046 W/mK.

The necessity for the knee prosthesis is confirmed by the large increase in the number of patients suffering from arthrosis, which is a present-day disease. Despite this need, there doesn’t exist an optimal knee prosthesis. Nowadays the development of the knee prostheses is progressing. It is very difficult to define the required geometry with traditional methods, because the movement conditions to be created by the prostheses should be similar to the movements of the human knee. During previous research the biomechanical research team of the Szent István University occupied with experimental measurements of the healthy human knee joint movement. In this paper I would like to introduce a method of prosthesis geometry development. As a result, a knee prosthesis geometry has been created which is approaching the movement form of the real human knee joint.
The aim of the article is to present the perspective of maintenance development in the context of the 4.0 industry concept. One of the factors that determine the safe and effective use of machines and devices is the properly maintained maintenance process. Correct performance of activities as part of this process requires the use of appropriate knowledge and experience from people implementing this process. Very important in this process is, above all, good organization of work and technical knowledge. The very rapid development of technology causes that teams dealing with the maintenance of traffic in enterprises must systematically acquire knowledge and optimize their activities. Effective exploitation of all types of devices is a set of rules, rules, procedures and actions, the main aspect of which is a human being. Knowledge resources should have appropriate substantive content adapted to the recipient. The article presents a modern solution supporting the maintenance process, taking into account the tools supporting the activities of human teams. The basic principles of maintenance in the enterprise covering machine monitoring systems, production management and management of information on the state of the machine park are discussed. There are also examples of the use of selected tools in the mining industry. Reference was also made to the prospects and directions of the development of maintenance in relation to the fourth industrial revolution.

The present study analyzes the operation length of internal forces (DDSW) understood as the length of the flow of internal forces along the shortest possible internal routes. The operation length of internal forces is determined on the basis of stresses and the given volume in the constructional space. The minimum DDSW of the structure satisfies the criterial conditions of the most rigid structure, where the potential energy of deformation and the deformation energy potential is the same in the whole volume and thus the potential gradient is zero.
