This research investigates a model for developing meta-cognitive tools to be used by pre-service teachers during apprenticeship (student teaching) experience to operationalise the epistemological model of Cook and Brown (2009). Meta-cognitive tools have proven to be effective for increasing performance and retention of undergraduate students. Postulating that the student teaching experience is a new type of learning ñ learning about practice (knowledge in action), instead of learning curriculum or pedagogy (knowledge possessed) ñ we suggest that a meta-cognitive tool set may prove similarly useful. Before studying the effectiveness of a tool set, however, a model which enables different programmes to evolve and develop appropriate tools is necessary. This case study research explores a model for the development of a context-specific tool set over 18 months, incorporating user feedback, researcher reflection and multiple-tool development. The model showed promise as a starting point for understanding and operationalising complex interactions with theory and practice.

The aim of this paper is to create and present a model which suggests what and how Instagram tools should be used by a new travel influencer trademark in order to create intangible values to become a brand. The paper presents the results of research on travel influencer brands and also the results of a travel influencer trademark created by the Traveler’s Child. In addition, types of visual content are introduced in order to differentiate content posted by brands and trademark. The authors include recommendations for travel influencer trademark owners on how to process through branding stages, while using Instagram tools so that to create intangible values, which would allow a trademark to become a brand.
Manuscript presents possible tools for sharing and transferring information in the field of logistics. Initial parts of the paper describe the need of a comprehensive logistics portal within entities operating in the Central Europe as well as outline various information regarding marketing tools for sharing and transferring information. Next part of the paper deals with the importance of mass media in terms of logistics. The most important chapter characterizes individual stages of the CELP project (Central European Logistics Portal) during its realization especially in relation to the logistics issues.

Negative relation between humans and large carnivores with unprofitable management caused a decrease in abundance of the latter within their natural habitat. Main reasons for negative attitudes of humans towards large carnivores are damages, fear and unfamiliarity with their characteristics. Brown bear (Ursus arctos) is a European autochthonous large carnivore. Although it is not threatened at the global level, its abundance in Europe is limited to several populations. Protection has an important role in brown bear conservation, since they face different threats, mainly by negative human activities. Conservation of the brown bear is complicated due to its habitats overlapping with the human environment and also because brown bears require large territories. In order to protect brown bears more efficiently, it is important to identify the threats and to conduct the species protection by international recommendations and agreements. In this paper, we analysed brown bear distribution in Europe, abundance limitation factors and international conservation instruments.

The most frequent natural disasters in Slovakia are related to climatic events, in particular to the sudden intensive rains, quick run-off and unbalanced water regime. They induce soil erosion and accumulation, flash floods, landslides, overwhelming waterlogging and also draught. Since these events have an impact throughout the whole landscape - the forest, agricultural and urban landscape, which are under the management of different sectors, the integration of the sectoral planning tools for the mitigation of their consequences is inevitable. Integration is a difficult process of dual character: it requires the development of landscape-ecological methods applicable to land management tools on one side and the creation of legal provisions ensuring the transfer of those scientific principles to legislation, on the other side. This paper deals with both sides of this process in Slovakia.
The Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of all the major economies around the world. Majority of these industries are facing tough environment for existence. The present study explored the most common and easily implementable Lean Tools/Techniques amongst the SMEs. This has been achieved via a detailed survey of SMEs in India. Study concludes with nine most common Lean Tools/Techniques implemented across the surveyed population of Indian SMEs.
In the presented article, the advancement of tools to improve the safety of work in the researched industrial company was taken into consideration. Attention was paid to the skillful analysis of the working environment, which includes the available technologies, work organization and human capital. These factors determine the development of the best prevention activities to minimize the number of accidents.
Conducting informatic projects requires the application of modern solutions that streamline workflow. Current projects are becoming more complicated, during their implementation, large amounts of data and information are generated. In addition, in many external sources we can find data and information of the various forms and levels of detail. To get from this data a valuable knowledge, it is necessary to use new data analysis techniques and new technological solutions. The article sets out to present a dissertation of considerations for IT projects and the steps of IT project were highlighted with areas and IT tools that support their implementation. The aim of this article is to assess the current level of use of IT tools by the companies considered as leaders, at various stages of IT projects implementation. The authors also rated the intensity of IT tools usage in various areas of project execution. The paper includes results of research conducted, and can serve as a guideline for enterprises developing IT tools intended to streamline informatic projects. The contents of the dissertation are based on literature studies and empirical research.
