Simvastatin-induced changes in the leukocytic system of porcine bone marrow

cells of all types. Cell forms of interest were myeloblasts, promyelocytes, neutrophilic myelocytes, neutrophilic metamyelocytes, band neutrophils, neutrophilic granulocytes, eosinophilic myelocytes, eosinophilic metamyelocytes, band eosinophils, eosinophilic granulocytes, basophilic myelocytes, basophilic metamyelocytes, band basophils, and basophilic granulocytes. Statistical analysis was performed with a nonparametric Anova test using Statistica 10 software (StatSoft, USA). The differences were considered statistically significant at P ≤ 0.05. Results The

Dependence of sperm morphology and ejaculate characteristics on sperm concentration in the ejaculates of Hypor boars

conducted using 12 Hypor boars. In total, 120 ejaculates were evaluated, collected at three insemination stations (A, B, and C). Station A is located at latitude 52°52′54″N and longitude 20°36′38″E, station B at latitude 51°58′27″N and longitude 19°01′17″E, and station C at latitude 52°05′28″N and longitude 19°59′01″E. The ejaculates were collected using the gloved-hand technique ( 14 ) every 4–5 days. At least 10 ejaculates from each boar were collected and assessed. The ejaculates were graded according to sperm concentration in the ejaculate, distinguishing three groups

Determination of salicylic acid in feed using LC-MS/MS

, the use of salicylates on a larger scale only began in the 1970s. Fig. 1 Structure of salicylic acid Fig. 2 Chromatograms of SA in feed: wheat (A), wheat with a standard addition at the level of 0.5 mg/kg (B), corn (C), and corn with a standard addition at 0.5 mg/kg (D) As SA is widely distributed throughout the plant kingdom, its systemic presence in humans may arise from the consumption of plant-based foods. Salicylates in high doses may be dangerous. A certain percentage of the population is hypersensitive to this compound, and these persons
