The article presents research results in a scope of evaluation importance of safety in the workplace in the production processes of enterprise from metal products industry. Toyota’s management principles by Jeffrey Liker were pointed out, which refers to elements of Toyota’s house roof. An innovative BOST questionnaire survey was characterized as a tool for transformation of Toyota’s management principles into questions. Research group which participated in BOST study from the metal product industry was characterized. Research results were subjected to statistical analysis with a use of basic statistical parameters. Research results showed that safety in the workplace is important factor in the company.

The article presents the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) philosophy. The principles of building the CRM strategy, enabling building and strengthening ties with the client (including ensuring its safety in relationship with a company), thanks to which the company can expect continuous sales, have been presented. Exemplary tools used in CRM (such as: call centre, contact centre, key account management) are listed and described. An attempt has been made to assess the cost-effectiveness of implementing the CRM philosophy in the enterprise based on the SWOT analysis. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of such an undertaking were analysed, and the results were presented in the summary and final conclusions.
One of main purposes of every enterprise is to satisfy the buyer, therefore customer service is perceived as the capability or the ability of satisfying customers expectations and requirements. The present article was devoted to the issue of the quality assessment of customer service assuring the data security on the basis of pharmacies network case study of. The survey was based on prepared questionnaire forms analyzing the quality of the customer service on the basis of three areas. Results of the survey indicate that modern IT tools are very helpful, because they can provide data for analysis of numerous distribution individuals in the context of the quality of customer service in a very fast way.
In recent years heating in Poland has been transformed as a result of the priorities of the country's energy policy implemented within the European Union. The increase in energy security, the development of renewable energy sources and the fulfilment of legal and environmental requirements are very important. Exploitation of district heating systems should ensure reliable and safe heat supplies for industrial and municipal customers with high energy efficiency and reduction of environmental impact. The article discusses the conditions and directions of centralized heating systems development as well as technical and economic issues, which are important for the security of heat supply. The Author describes selected technological innovations used in the technical infrastructure for heat transfer and modern IT systems which are improving the management of heating systems. The article includes the results of simulation research with use of IT tools showing the impact of selected innovations on the improvement of network operation conditions. Directions of modernization of heating systems in the aspect of increasing energy efficiency and security of heat supply have also been indicted here.
Power engineering is one of the key areas of sustainable development. Many countries create new concepts of environmental safety management and modify their energy systems to be in line with the goals of sustainable development in the EU. Sustainable development indicators can be a tool for monitoring the set goals of environmental safety management. The aim of the article is to assess the environmental safety management of the energy sector in Poland in relation to EU as well as presenting the concept of sustainable energy development and indicators used to assess the development of energy in the following dimensions: social, economic and ecological. The indicators used to assess the sustainable development of energy in the following dimensions were compared: sustainable consumption and production, marking the production and consumption of energy; organizations and sites with eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS); registration climate change, marking GHG emissions and the share of renewable energy in gross final energy consumption; sustainable transport, marking the energy consumption of transport relative to GDP. The article will test the hypothesis that the structure of obtaining energy in Poland and the tempo of change in this respect differ from the EU average.
The following paper is a review article. It is an attempt to analyze the most widely available publications of Salafi terrorist organizations addressed to European supporters. This article concentrates primarily on publications describing tactics related to committing acts of terror on civilian population. Organizations like AQ and ISIS suggest launching attacks using the most available resources (attack using a knife or a sharp tool, arson, ramming with a vehicle), constructing various kinds of IED (pipe bomb, pressure cooker bomb), encourage to attack in public and poorly protected places or advise on how to organize a shooting and hostage-taking situation. Moreover, they state bluntly that theft, vandalism or causing major traffic accidents are also actions which can help in the war with infidels. The substantive value of the instructions is questionable – the authors of many of them (e.g. the attack using a knife) have vague idea about equipment and combat. The content of these publications suggests that they are prepared for people relatively young, with no general experience in life and combat training. Terrorist organizations skillfully select passages from Quran and hadiths to find a pseudo religious justification for barbarism and cruelty. Finally, they treat all victims indiscriminately – all infidels deserve to die and killing them is a glorious achievement.
Workers' safety in the workplace depends on the compliance of both employees and the employer with applicable regulations. The EU member states in internal law contain regulations in line with EU directives in this area. The author of this study decided to examine whether compliance by the employer with health and safety provisions is an element motivating employees to take up employment. he law applies to both employees and employers, but their content is not affected by any of the parties to the employment relationship. The purpose of the article was to answer the question whether compliance by the employer with health and safety at work rules is an element that influences the employee when making a decision about taking up employment. The method used was the diagnostic survey method and the survey tool. The research was conducted in 102 facilities-enterprises in the Silesian Voivodeship employing at least 20 employees. The respondents were employees within the meaning of the Labor Code who declared knowledge of basic regulations in the field of occupational health and safety. The unambiguous lack of impact of compliance with the health and safety at work regulations by the employer on the decision on employment was indicated by 29.3% of respondents, while 60.8% of all respondents declared such an impact. Currently operating enterprises are more and more willing to adopt a process approach in their structures. The process approach means the transition from traditionally understood management towards adapting to constantly changing environmental conditions. This change is accompanied by the possibility of using a wide range of tools of ICT technology, that allow modelling of any type of process occurring in the enterprise, including processes related to OHS. Thus, the objective of the paper is to indicate the opportunity for the integration of OHS processes with other processes (primary and auxiliary) of the organization using ERP systems. In the first part of the study, there will be indicated the determinants of the development of the process approach in modern enterprises. Subsequently, there will be characterized OHS processes against the background of other processes of the organization. In the third part, there will be indicated the most significant features of ERP systems. The last part will refer to the practical implementation of the process in the area of OHS in the Macrologic Merit system.
