Abstract

Understanding the schemes of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) managerial capability is becoming important aspects today. Implementing proper strategies and internal policy may create a significant change in SME’s performance. Total Quality Management (TQM) has been being a one of specific measurement on organizational performance. This research was proposed to understand the factor that can affect the TQM’s performance in SME’s by identifying the two factors that can change it. Based on the recent studies, the developed model was employed PLSSEM to analyze the data by total respondent 95 respondent consist of owner and manager. The sample was taken in the area of Sasirangan SME’s in Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan province, Indonesia. Sasirangan is a local fabric developed by its ancestor. The population of Sasirangan SME’s was huge in amount. The results of these studies indicate that both motivation and employee performance can increase the TQM in the SME’s which one of them has a more significant effect. The complete description of finding in this research will be discussed in this research.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SME‟s) was proven to increase the country economic condition due to its capability to retain the product and capital flow stay inside. SME‟s tend to be more creative than the large and traditional enterprises, though the profitability may vary across segment. The rise of technology has brought the customer to be more educated related to product due the ease of information dissemination. Web 2.0 was the basic of today’s social media communication in the context of logistics, enabling the society to directly interconnected one to another. Based on this reason, this study proposed an alternative to understand the SME’s owner in adopting the use of social media for business and logistics purposes including marketing, sales, product announcement, etc. This study involved 53 respondent around south east Kalimantan. The data was analyzed by using GSCA analysis due to its ability to explore the effect amongst variable while ensuring the consistencies. The results present that all exogenous variables show a positive and significant effect, though the only variable showing non-significant effect is the performance expectancies. The greatest effect is shown by the social factor on attitude towards the social commerce.

Abstract

This paper is trying to examine the effect of social media in the use of personal transport for leisure purposes. Youngster are frequently identified as being adventurous and highly mobile, even few researcher modes of transportation choices play in important role in enhancing and fulfilling their desired experiences. In this paper, we would like to know the role of social media in enhancing the personal transport desire in south-east Kalimantan. Social media role is measured by borrowing the theory of technology acceptance model by using two variables namely perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. A quantitative method was used to measure the variable by using questionnaire given to 230 respondents given to university student near south-east Kalimantan. The gathered data is analyzed by using generalized structured component analysis. The finding in this research indicates that both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of social media could affect individual intention to use personal transport. However, the larger effect has reflected by perceived usefulness. This means that social media has been recognized as a good reference to stimulate leisure by using personal transport.
