Abstract

The paper is devoted to the use of insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) for the micro-arc oxidation (MAO) process. The technical requirements to the current switches of power supplies for the pulsed bipolar MAO technology have been developed. The research installation for investigating the IGBT commutation processes during the pulse anode-cathode oxidation has been constructed. The experiments have been performed with its help in order to estimate the possibility of using half-bridge IGBT-modules with different drivers. The research results of the commutation processes investigation for different IGBT half- bridge modules are presented.

Problems of the data processing improving for pavement structure evaluation with help of subsurface radar probing are discussed. Iterative procedure to solve the inverse problem in frequency domain is used on the base of the genetic algorithm. For improving of data processing effectiveness it is proposed to use a modified genetic algorithm with adaptation of search range of pavement parameters. The results of reconstruction of electro-physical characteristics for model of five-layered pavement structure are presented.

Information Support System for Technology of Applying the Multi-Component Nano-Structured Protective Coatings

The given article considers the process of arranging informational support in carrying out experiments on applying the nanostructured protective covering on different materials. For nano-coverings coating, there is used special plant, which is given different modes of performance. For accounting all parameters and for accumulating the data, which characterize the results of the experiments, there is suggested an information system which employs the database designed for these purposes. The authors suggest an approach to defining the main requirements and functions of an information system on the basis of functional simulation and consider the issues of its realization. This information system also allows processing the results of the experiments with the use of statistical methods. The analytical module of the information system is supposed for solving the tasks of determining the thickness of covering depending on the specified mode of plant operation (pressure, voltage, current); it is also employed for determining what operation mode is required for receiving the covering with certain designated properties and parameters. Consequently, the task of scientific prognostication of the covering properties is solved.

Abstract

This work has focused on using of Bee Algorithm and Artificial Bee Colony algorithm for solution the inverse problem of subsurface radar probing in frequency domain. Bees Algorithms are used to minimize the aim function. Tree models of road constructions and their characteristics have been used for solution of the subsurface radar probing inverse problem. There has been investigated the convergence of BA and ABC algorithms at minimisation of the aim function of the inverse problem of radar subsurface probing of roadway structures. There has been investigated the impact of free arguments of BA and ABC algorithm, width of the frequency range and width of the searching interval on the error of reconstruction of electro-physical characteristics of layers and duration of algorithm operating. There has been investigated the impact of electro-physical characteristics of roadway structure layers and width of the frequency range on aim function of radar pavement monitoring inverse problem.
