Abstract

The article presents issues concerning the power supply systems of closed-circuit television systems used at a highway toll collection point. The general diagram of the power supply system was presented, and then the reliability analysis was conducted. This enabled to develop a relationships graph, on the basis of which the Chapman–Kolmogorov system of equations describing it was created. On this basis, it was possible to set the relationships allowing to calculate the probability values of the system’s staying (in symbolic terms) in the following functional states: of full ability SPZ, of non-full ability SZB1 and SZB2, and of unfitness SB.

Abstract

Transport telematics systems integrate IT with telecommunications in applications for different transport systems. Through their implementation, the use of transport infrastructure and means of transport increases, while increasing the level of safety of vehicles and facilities performing transport tasks. The implementation of modern Intelligent Transport Systems in road transport necessitates their evaluation (including reliability and operation) and the rational selection for planned criteria. The article presents the author’s work on criteria and sub-criteria that will be used to evaluate technical and teleinformatic solutions for ITS services.

Abstract

The intrusion and hold-up system is one of the electronic security systems. The purpose of its application is to increase the level of safety for persons and property. This kind of solutions are used in all types of objects belonging to the critical infrastructure of the State. The article presents considerations for analysis reliability of intrusion and hold-up systems. Characterize them, taking into account the guidance contained in the standard “PN-EN50131-1:2009:Alarm systems-Intrusion and hold-up systems-part 1: System requirements”. Then performed an analysis of reliability that enable their comparison. In further research of this issue is planned to carry out similar analyses, but for systems of access control and video surveillance systems (also distributed structures).

Abstract

The article presents issues related to the modeling of reliability of power supply in terms of their technical and functional condition. There are designated relations allowing to determine the probability of staying the power supply in the state: full suitability, incomplete suitability and unsuitability. There is also examined the impact of time restore of the state of full suitability for the value of the probability of staying the power supply in the state of incomplete suitability.

Abstract

One of the electrical security systems used to protect critical infrastructure facilities is the intrusion detection system. Its purpose is to increase the safety level for the persons and property within the protected facility. The paper presents consideration regarding the reliability analysis of a type B power supply used in an intrusion detection system. This takes into account the guidelines regarding the analysed power supply system included in the standard “PN-EN 50131-1:2009: Alarm systems - Intrusion detection systems - Part 1: System requirements”. Next, a reliability analysis was performed, which enables the determination of the readiness indicator value. The conduction of further analyses of IDS power supply systems, though of distributed structures, is planned in subsequent studies regarding this issue.

Abstract

CCTV systems are widely used across plethora of industrial areas including transport, where their function is to support transport telematics systems. Among others, they are used to ensure travel safety. This paper presented a reliability and maintenance analysis of CCTV. It led to building a relationships graph and then Chapman–Kolmogorov system of equations was derived to describe it. Drawing on those equations, relationships for calculating probability of system staying in state of full ability SPZ, state of the impendency over safety SZB1 as well as state of unreliability of safety SB were derived.

Abstract

The article presents issues concerning on the alarm columns of highway emergency communication system. The system is presented in general and then the reliability-exploitation analysis was done. This enabled preparing a development graph of the relationship, under which is created a set of Kolmogorov-Chapman equations describing the system. On this basis, it was possible to find the relation for calculating the probabilities of system staying (in symbolic terms) in the functional: states of full ability SPZ, impendency over safety SZB and unreliability of safety SB.

Abstract

This paper presents the issues connected with highway transport telematics systems. The particular attention is paid to the highway emergency communications systems. There is described their structure and functioning. It also presented the general reliability-exploitation model. It allows to determinate the probability of staying of the system in the distinguished operating states.
