The basics of product and service branding are generally the same. However, creating a brand for a company that offers services requires more effort because the services are hard to visualize and each client has different expectations. More than promoting any of the services, branding aims to create a perception of trust so that the brand name to be associated with integrity, quality, and innovation. The purpose of this paper is to determine how entrepreneurs develop their service-based business through social networks branding and also what are the benefits obtained from each method. The authors have researched previously what is the impact of social network marketing on business development and noticed that service-based businesses tend to obtain benefits from different activities comparing to product-based businesses. The authors researched through a semistructured questionnaire the online activities of 71 SMEs from Bucharest that offer various types of services to their customers. The results obtained are then correlated with the online and offline performance of the company.
The purpose of this study is to explore the moderating role of work experience on the relationships between entrepreneurial education, self-efficacy and students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Quantitative data were collected via a questionnaire based by investigating whether engineering students have sufficient entrepreneurial skills to evaluate opportunity, developing new products, and recognizing potential market applications. Engineering students need to be able to exploit opportunities that rely on scientific and technical knowledge to create and capture value by launch new venture. Our important findings have a series of important practical implications for managers, engineering students, engineers, and academic staff interested in encouraging economic growth. The results show that entrepreneurial education and self-efficacy have a positive impact on students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Work experience only has a partial influence on students’ entrepreneurial intentions, it exerts a significant indirect effect does not have a significant moderating effect. The findings of the study also provide practical implications suggest that increasing engineering students understanding and awareness of entrepreneurship lead to greater levels of interest in entrepreneurship careers. To the knowledge of the authors, this study is the first to investigate the mediating effect of work experience on students’ entrepreneurial intentions.
Osteomas are slow-growing tumors of the paranasal sinuses, usually found in the frontal and ethmoidal sinus. In many cases, these tumors are discovered by chance or after an imagistic exam for a non-responsive to medical treatment headache. In asymptomatic tumors, conservative treatment is indicated, while in big tumors with complications the gold standard is surgical resection of the tumor. We present two cases of rather similar anterior ethmoidal osteomas in which the therapeutic management was decided according to the symptomatology of the patient and the imagistic CT exam. We decided different ways of treatment for the two cases based on the CT scan, which has a major role in predicting intraoperative complications during endoscopic sinus surgery.
The goal of this study was to analyze the content of heavy metals in fish, shellfish, molluscs cephalopods on the Romanian market. We have analyzed heavy metals traces in sixteen marine organisms species. Analyses of heavy metal traces were done with mass spectrometer with inductively coupled plasma- ICP-MS, Agilent Technologies 7500 Series. Among the elements identified it was analyzed the content of Cd, Hg, Pb, metals with high toxicity to the human body, and the obtained values were interpreted in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 concerning the maximum allowable quantity per kg wet product and Provisional Tolerated Weekly Intake (PTWI) established by the Joint Committee experts WHO / FAO. The risk assessment performed indicated that marine organisms were safe for the consumer except the four species that cadmium content may be exceeded for a regular or excessive consumption.

Business intelligence is a new concept which became popular alongside online marketing, as both use external and internal data in order to make better decisions, process improvement and optimizations. The aim of this paper is to propose a solution for business intelligence in the commercial field based on a model of internal sales platform. Gathering data for all the structures integrated in this platform improves the optimization of products and services offered by the companies and also streamline the process of sales. This business solution underpins another solution enabling market research on consumer preferences in order to lead to the development of new products / services according to the real needs of the market at the present time.
In a globalized economy, marketing performance is needed in order to be competitive and also for being successful on the market. Currently entrepreneurs have access to a big variety of tools and also the increase of networking platforms can help ecommerce entrepreneurs to gather a lot of useful information and know-how for improving their businesses. Our main objective is to identify which are the most important needs of ecommerce entrepreneurs in order to communicate with other business owners activating in the ecommerce industry. The secondary objective is to identify what features an online networking platform should have, so it can become an important tool for growing the marketing performance of each member using the networking platform. The research was made using a focus group composed of 15 participants. All participants are business owners who manage at least one online store, selling goods in the local or international market for at least 3 years. The results of the qualitative research made, were that entrepreneurs who are trying to establish a new business partnership, use classical forms of communication, such as email, phone calls, meetings but they believe that online communication would be beneficial for their business because it can be less time consuming and more efficient for finding new business partners or relevant know-how. We discovered that entrepreneurs wish to learn from the practical experience of other business owners to improve the marketing performance through innovation and creativity. The research conducted has identified the key elements of a business networking platform for entrepreneurs. The main elements required include privacy, security, sharing relevant know-how and elements that can create an efficient collaborative environment. We also discovered that local entrepreneurs do not use or know a business networking platform that meets their demands and expectations for sustaining an effective business development.
Online banking services create a way to reduce costs, attracting new segments of population and growing the bank performance and improvement of services. Client’s satisfaction is the main benefits of the banks. The aim of the paper is to investigate and to analyze the factors that influence the adoption of internet banking system in Romania. One of the problems faced by consumers using Internet banking is confidentiality. This makes security in transactions to be essential. For this, the main objectives are: identifying critical factors that contribute to the acceptance of internet banking system and the link between them and also identifying the demographic factors that influence the adoption of this system in Romania. The data collection was done by a quantitative research using the questionnaire method as a survey tool and it was made up of questions measured using the Likert scale. It contains variables based on the construct’s relevance to Internet Banking. All assumptions about the relationship between dependent variables and independent variables are developed and tested using multiple reliability, validity, and regression. It was used a statistical software and with it were analised 6 independent variables, named social influence, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived risk, perceived confidence and intention to use Internet banking. The attitude toward using Internet banking system will be the dependent variable. To verify the acceptability model’s validity, it was used the Structural Equations Model. The results are partly supported by the developed hypotheses and are presented after the reliability test where Cronbach’s Alpha is calculated suggesting the internal reliability of the consistency for the scale. The significant effect that influences the attitude toward using Internet banking system is represented by the perceived usefulness, the perceived risk, the perceived confidence and the intention to use internet banking.
In the 2016 revision of the World Health Organization classification the term therapy-related myeloid neoplasia (t-MN) defines a subgroup of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) comprising patients who develop myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS-t) or acute myeloid leukemia (AML-t) after treatment with cytotoxic and/or radiation therapy for various malignancies or autoimmune disorders. We report the case of a 36 year old patient with t-MN (t-MDS) after achieving complete remission (CR) of a PML-RARA positive acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) at 32 months after diagnosis. Initially classified as low risk APL and treated according to the AIDA protocol - induction and 3 consolidation cycles - the patient achieved a complete molecular response in September 2013 and started maintenance therapy. On follow-up PML-RARA transcript remained negative. In January 2016 leukopenia and thrombocytopenia developed and a peripheral blood smear revealed hypogranular and agranular neutrophils. Immunophenotyping in the bone marrow aspirate identified undifferentiated blast cells that did not express cytoplasmic myeloperoxidase. The cytogenetic study showed normal karyotype. The molecular biology tests not identified PMLRARA transcript. A diagnosis of t-MDS (AREB-2 - WHO 2008) was established. Treatment of AML was started with 2 “3+7” regimens and 1 MEC cycle. Two months from diagnosis, while in CR, an allogeneic HSCT from an unrelated HLA compatible donor was performed after myeloablative regimen. An unfavorable clinical evolution was followed by death on day 9 after transplantation. The occurrence of t-MNs during CR of APL represents a particular problem in terms of follow-up and differential diagnosis of relapse and constitutes a dramatic complication for a disease with a favorable prognosis.

Background: Forensic autopsy strategies may improve differential diagnostics both post-mortem and ante-mortem and aid in clinical settings concerning preventive efforts for premature mortality. Excess mortality and reduced life expectancy affect persons with severe mental illnesses (SMI) for multi-faceted reasons that remain controversial. Somatic conditions, medical treatment and lifestyle diseases, which are primarily examined in the living, contribute to premature deaths. The underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are unclear, though, and the benefits of a focused, standardised autopsy remain unproven. We have developed and implemented an optimised molecular–biological autopsy for deceased persons with SMI. Our aim is to map the occurrence of 1) somatic diseases and organ changes; 2) metabolic syndrome; 3) use and abuse of alcohol, pharmaceuticals and psychoactive substances; 4) pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic factors in the metabolism of pharmaceuticals; and 5) genetic variations (acquired and/or congenital) in sudden cardiac death. Additionally, we hope to contribute to diagnostic treatments and preventive measures to benefit those living with SMI. Methods: SURVIVE: let the dead help the living is a prospective, autopsy-based study on 500 deceased persons with SMI subjected to forensic autopsies under the Danish Act on Forensic Inquests and Autopsy. The autopsies followed an extended, standardised autopsy protocol comprised of whole-body computed tomography scanning, magnetic resonance imaging of the heart and brain and an extended forensic autopsy, including a wide panel of analyses (toxicology, microbiology, genetics, histology and biochemical analysis). Additionally, post-mortem data were linked to ante-mortem health data extracted from Danish national health registers.
Discussion: The SURVIVE autopsy procedure, including tissue sampling and bio banking, has been shown to be effective. We expect that the SURVIVE study will provide unique opportunities to unravel the mechanisms and causes of premature death in persons with SMI. We also expect that identifying prognostic biomarkers for comorbidities will contribute to prevention of premature deaths and comorbidities in persons with SMI.
