ACMI flight crews spend considerable time away from home on outstations. This manuscript suggests that long term stay carries its own considerations in regards to rest recovery with practical implications for Fatigue Risk Management. Four recovery factors are identified and are to be correlated with 28 crew behaviors. The end result might indicate improvement considerations for airline management organizing a long term contract with ACMI crews.
Most flight delays in aviation enterprises are related to air traffic management and technical centers. This can happen for various reasons: untimely removal of defects, lack of spare parts, deficiencies in maintenance scheduling, etc. Another reason may be inefficient management in the system of preparing the aircraft for departure. The article suggests a possible option of such an assessment as well as the results obtained from the use of this methodology applied to a specific airline.

This article summarizes the results of aircraft lateral drift parameter estimation. The lateral drift of an aircraft may occur in extreme and dangerous situations when the aircraft lands in crosswind conditions. Such a situation is developing with great dynamics in a small period of time. Within seconds, the aircraft can drastically change the flight path or position. The article highlights the results obtained in a calculation made during the flight phase of the aircraft landing in crosswind.
The aim of this paper was to analyze how different techniques of production of fibrous composite materials affect the quality and strength properties of composite laminates. In this study, we use experimental data concerning a composite fabricated with the by hand lay-up and vacuum bagging method. The composites have a polyester matrix (Firestop 8175-w-1) reinforced with mate-glass fiber fabric [0/90/0/90] E glass fiber, respectively. The process parameters and criteria were determined before the samples were cut, namely the amount and soaking time of the composite with the polymer resin.

This article considers how mathematical decision-making in Air Traffic Control could be done in order to minimize the risk of collisions. An example of how to prioritize airplanes which are in the vicinity of an airport according to their level of risk in respect to other airplanes is given by using a matrix of similarities and Euclidean metric. The analysis has shown that it is necessary to classify ATC specialists and ATC centers according to their ability to provide safe enough service using time methods and highly experienced team work.
