Archery is a tradition, a style of martial arts and a competitive sport, while at the same time being an art form. The equipment consists of a bow and arrows. The deflection of the arrow is a very important characteristic, one which has a decisive influence on how and if the arrow reaches the target. This has a tremendous impact on the performance of the archer in both competition and archery demonstrations. The quantification and measurement of arrow deflection is equally important to both manufacturers and archers. It is affected by the arrow’s static bending. In this paper the bend of the arrow shall be determined.
For machining of increasingly complicated geometries, the longitudinal and transverse turning operations should be performed with a single tool. Leading manufacturing companies have developed a number of constructions. The world’s largest manufacturer has recently revolutionised turning by launching roughing and finishing tools. The roughing insert can work with “high feed turning” in four different directions of movement. This tool has a unique chip forming and removal, it forms a unique machined surface. This study gives an overview of the results achieved in this area.
This paper provides the design for air conditioning system and two different defuzzification methods. The air conditioner intelligent system is the control of two control parameter: the temperature and the humidity of the area. The inputs received by the temperature and humidity sensors give the closest output values for the air conditioning system. The simulation result shows temperature and humidity of the heat exchange by using defuzzification methods of centroid and middle of maxima (MoM) in the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox of MATLAB package program.
Nowadays, the number of smart homes is increasing steadily. People tend to try anything for better comfort for their family, or simply for themselves. We spend roughly half of our lives at home, so it’s only logical to focus and pursue higher comfort levels for our homes. This phenomenon opens enormous potential for automation, whether it is automatic garage doors, motorized shutters, access control systems, HVAC systems, or anything else that serves our well-being. This project looks at the implementation of some automation tasks, using a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). This approach is different from conventional automation, thanks to the ability of the PLC to control everything in a building thus condensing three, or even four floors into one central unit.
The economics of biogas plants have an impact on the justification of the industrial unit. The conditions of high-yielding high-quality biogas production are estimated on the basis of laboratory fermentation studies. In designing the laboratory fermenters, working conditions must be modelled. However, the biggest problem with the biological model is its size, because the magnitude is less than in industrial applications and therefore extremely sensitive to environmental influences. During the design, an important aspect is that the periodic mixing of the raw material can be done in the reactors as in the industry. This article shows the equipment based on empirical research.
Adequate security measures at schools are essential, not only in Vojvodina but in all secondary schools. This work outlines the opinion of secondary school teachers concerning the mechanical and electronic protection of secondary school institutions. The present research aims to shed light on the significance of school security, and problems caused by its lack, as well as to offer suggestions towards increased security and protection.
During the experimental investigation of solar cells, the quality of the illumination is essential. In the case of solar simulators, the main goal is the accurate reproduction of sunlight. The designing procedure of a halogen LED hybrid solar simulator is described in this article. One of the main goals is the compliance with the relevant standard (ASTM E972).

In this research we have improved a method for the determination of anionic detergent content (ANA) in greywater samples. Based on the earlier studies at the Department of Environmental Engineering at the University of Debrecen this new, more reliable method for ANA values is very effective. We examined the quantity of anionic detergent content in synthetic greywater samples with Hyamine reagent using a two-phased titrimetric method. We added to the synthetic greywater samples phenolphthalein indicator, acid mixed indicator and chloroform. Next, we shook the mixture, and we produced two separated phases. We titrated the mixture with cation active Hyamine reagent. It was shown that the applied method is both representative and reliable.
This study presents the development of a pressure measuring unit based on a Pirani gauge and a dedicated embedded system, incorporating a simple, low-cost practical solution for significantly reducing the various measurement altering factors, such as drifts, offsets and set point drifts. This is achieved by eliminating the conventional differential analogue signal processing stage and replacing it with a high resolution analog to digital converter. Therefore the goal was to minimize the number of the electronic components whose operation is influenced by variations in ambient temperature. The main topics discussed in the paper include the presentation of the measuring circuit’s configuration, the development of a low-cost embedded system, the calibration method and the solution implemented for eliminating the platforms limitation regarding the precision of the different mathematical calculations.
The aim of this research is to find a solution that can contribute to the more widespread use of electric vehicles and, through development, promote the use of renewable energy sources. It aims to eliminate the disadvantages of electric vehicles, such as self-discharge, stationary charging and limited range. The focus is mainly a solar-powered solution, since small solar cells have already been implemented on the commercially available Nissan Leaf model to solve similar problems but with very little or no improvement. Encouraged by this attempt I have engineered a larger, more useful auxiliary solar cell system to improve the range of these vehicles.
