Modelling heat transfer problems are often carried out by using experimental data not only pure analytical methods. These solutions are affected by several parameters, so the deduction of formulas, based on complicated interactions, cannot be solved without theoretical knowledge. our goal is on base of similarity theory building a model of heat transfer properties of an open pond that installed in climate of Hungary. in our work we have calculated heat transfer on the surface of an open pond by evaporation for the base of future studies.

Nowdays, accidents tend to happen because our attention is being split up by the ever-growing influx of information, losing the focus from the driving, traffic signs, and other signals. The consequences of these minor or major accidents weight down on our shoulders. During our project, we tried to eliminate, or help this issue, using present technology, improving upon that, trying to avoid these accidents. Our task consisted on implementing a software, that could identify traffic signs from any video streams.
Nowadays, international and national events clearly point out the need for cooperation between different defense organizations in crisis and emergency situations (disaster events, migration issues, and other emergencies) for successful tasks. The fundamental basis of this cooperation is always the command and control activity supported by modern technical equipment that ensures the coordinated implementation of tasks. The key, human element of info-communication support is the preparation and training of the successful professionals. In this paper, the authors intend to present the importance of vocational training.
In this work, the moisture absorbance of 6 different building insulation materials are inspected in a laboratory environment. After being dried to a constant weight, the materials were exposed to five different, equally distributed, relative humidity environments, ranging from 0% to 100%. At each chosen relative humidity range the weight of absorbed water content was measured. Then the results were analysed. The insulation materials were then ranked using results from this and the author’s previous work.
Today’s vehicles are becoming more and more complex in order to meet the ever increasing safety and comfort requirements. Most people usually do not consider the car sitting in their driveway to be on the leading edge of new technology. However, for most people, the personal automobile has now become their initial exposure to new intelligent computational technologies such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, adaptive computing, voice recognition and others. This paper explores the sensory-network of electric vehicles and analyses it from a security and reliability perspective.
In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of an object’s vibration in identifying its material of construction. A simple vibration test is performed to classify different types of materials. The test is done by performing small hammer excitation on the object then recording its vibration using one acceleration sensor. Four different materials were tested (steel, hardwood, softwood, and plastic). The vibration signal was analyzed using MATLAB based model. The trained model was able to recognize the testing samples of each material. The advantages of this method are that it is accurate, fast and simple, can be performed on-site and is relatively inexpensive.

It is essential for every company to know their business processes well, because these companies must allocate their resources in an efficient way in order to keep or strengthen their market position. During the research we aimed at optimizing the material flow at a wooden box producer company with the use of the generalized network flow model as this model is widely used for modelling production processes. In the first part of our work we calculated the optimal material flows focusing on two objectives, and in the second part we determined a compromise solution. Finally, we compared and evaluated the results of the three models.

In this publication we present a vehicle dynamic model and the motion of equation for pneumobiles. One of the input parameters of the model is the rolling resistance coefficient of the tyres. The present publication describes the experimental setup and work in the course of which the above coefficient was measured and the effect of tyre pressure on rolling resistance was analysed. During the measurement, we examined the effect of tyre pressure on rolling resistance, including when the vehicle in unloaded and in loaded state.

In case of old metal constructions, where the loadbearing structure dominates, material issues have a great influence on the behaviour of the construction both in terms of function and safety. Old metal constructions generally have a monumental nature, so preservation, restoration and rehabilitation works are inseparable from material issues. Due to this monumental nature, research into the material generally allows only minor damage, therefore these investigations require the use of special methods.
The wide spread of IoT devices makes possible the collection of enormous amounts of sensor data. Traditional SQL (structured query language) database management systems are not the most appropriate for storing this type of data. For this task, distributed database management systems are the most adequate. Apache Cassandra is an open source, distributed database server software that stores large amounts of data on low-coast servers, providing high availability. The Cassandra uses the gossip protocol to exchange information between the distributed servers. The query language used is the CQL (Cassandra Query Language).
In this paper we present an alternative solution to traditional SQL-based database management systems - the so called NoSQL type database management systems, summarize the main types of these systems and provide a detailed description of the Apache Cassandra open source distributed database server installation, configuration and operation.
