Sino-Algerian B2B Relational Exchange via E-Marketplace: Case Study of Algerian Import Companies

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of Sino-Algerian B2B relational exchange via e-marketplace, by examining the two instrumental dimensions of relational exchange where information exchange and flexibility were tested. Toward that goal, a survey is employed to Algerian import companies to determine the quality of relational exchange with Chinese companies when trading via e-marketplace. A conceptual framework was developed based on extended literature review and examined on data collected from 70 companies through a survey methodology. As a result, Algerian import companies have a good and strong relational exchange with Chinese companies via e-marketplace, due to high degree of transparency, just-in-time services and special facilities in language negotiation, ordering, payment methods and shipment provided by Chinese companies. Thus, non-trust on e-commerce and internet infrastructure in Algeria has affected the trust on after-purchase activities via e-marketplace. So, Algerian companies strongly trust on Chinese companies but they weakly trust on trading with them via e-marketplace.

Sustainable Regional Development Policy in Romania - Coordinates

Abstract

The regional development policy appears as a coherent set of planned measures - enlisted in the National Development Programme and in the National Regional Development Plans - and promoted by the authorities of the central end local administration, based on the principle of partnership with various actors (private, public or volunteers), in order to assure a dynamic and sustainable economic and social growth, by an efficient valorification of the regional and local potential.

The definition of the regional development policy in Romania needs to answer two pressures, namely: one of general order, which imposes the acceptance of the EU rules and objectives and the coordination of the regional development policy with the way the regional development policy is understood and applied at the level of the community countries; the second, of particular order, springs from the situation Romania experiences, namely its still insufficient preparation to face the extremely competitive environment of the “unique market” within the EU.

To implement a regional development policy compatible and comparable to the EU policy in this domain, according to the “Green Charter of Regional Development in Romania”, elaborated by the Government of Romania and the European Commission, even since the year 1997, eight development regions have been defined (which must not be viewed as administrative-territorial units, as they do not have juridical personality, so that they must not be mistakenly taken for the counties).

Identifying, analyzing and using the most appropriate and efficient methods for planning business processes is a key to success for every enterprise.

Our paper are two objectives: to identify the most proper methods used for planning and applying for the same case study. We are looking to demonstrate the methodology of using some software tools and compare the obtained results. The application domain will be the planning of production processes but these methods can be extended to the service processes.

The methodology is represented by the mathematical models and software applications in this fields, such as Simplex model theory, Solver Excel tools, WinQSE application, linear programming with PL.exe.

The results of the research have a high applicability level and can be extended in other business fields too.

The Efficiency of the Macroeconomic Policies

Abstract

In the present work, the authors aim to determine the efficiency of the macroeconomic policies by determining the effects of the application of the instruments (revenue change) and finding out the instrument having the highest efficiency.

In today’s macroeconomic theory and practice, the efficiency level of the macroeconomic policy instrument is measured using multipliers. The different nature of the measurement units used when calculating the multipliers makes it impossible to compare the multipliers in order to establish the more efficient instrument, and for this reason it becomes necessary to use elasticity as an efficiency indicator.

The Evolution of the Regional Development Policies

Abstract

Kuklinski (Kuklinski A. 1987), realized, from an epistemological perspective, a history of the international and interdisciplinary progress in matters of regional policy.

According to the authors’ conception, an international scientific movement in the domain of regional studies refers to: the examination of the regional studies carried out in different countries to identify the diversity of ideological and intellectual attitudes, the techniques and the motivations.

Today this phenomenon must be considered from a new perspective in the framework of a global analysis of the different scientific schools which perceive regional studies in particular and original ways.

A scientific school can be defined as all the activities of a well-organized team, capable of producing, in the course of a long period, a series of relatively important and diversified innovations in three domains:

  1. a)theory and research methods;
  2. b)empirical knowledge of the existing reality;
  3. c)creation of tools and policies in order to transform this reality according to the development goals accepted by a determined epoch and in a determined region.

The main feature of a scientific school is represented by its capacity to innovate a series of theoretical and empirical studies (Kuklinski A. 1987).
