“Safety of Technogenic Environment” is an open access journal published once a year electronically.
Articles are assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) whereby it becomes possible to search and cite them without delay. The journal covers issues related to different risks in workplaces (ergonomic, chemical and biological, physical and psycho-emotional, radiation etc.), safety management and safety culture, fire safety and civil protection issues, different degrees of danger and different types of effects on human health, life and well-being.. The manuscripts submitted for consideration should contain new results and previously unpublished material.
The manuscripts are accepted in English. The submissions should be made electronically to the managing editor at Inese.Vilcane@rtu.lv and comply with the Requirements for Manuscripts Published in the Scientific Journal of Riga Technical University “Safety of Technogenic Environment”.
The submitted manuscripts are peer reviewed by two experts of the relevant field. The authors are provided with feedback. After the peer review the managing editor assesses the paper’s suitability for publication in the journal and informs the authors about the decision.
After the article has been accepted for publication it goes to the production editor. The production editor makes any necessary corrections and sends the proof to the author for approval. There are no publication charges.
The authors are asked to sign License to Publish governed by the Creative Commons Attribution license in which the author warrants that the article is original, written by stated author/s, has not been published before, contains no unlawful statements, does not infringe the rights of others, is subject to copyright that is vested exclusively in the author and free of any third party rights, and that any necessary written permissions to quote from other sources have been obtained by the author/s.
All articles published in the journal are archived in the OA repository of Riga Technical University.
The print version of the journal is published by RTU Press – the publishing house of Riga Technical University.
