Hyperinsulinism-hyperammonemia syndrome (HI/HA) is the second most common form of persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy (PHHI). The main clinical characteristics of HI/HA syndrome are repeated episodes of symptomatic hypoglycemia, but not usually severe.
